My name is James Matthew Drake, Jr. and I am an artist from Central Virginia. I have a passion for music, photography, video, media and many other arts. My goal as an artist is to produce high quality work that invokes emotion and tells a story.

My inspiration comes from life and the beauty within it. In my photography, I try to capture the beauty that I see in even ordinary things. My music comes from what I feel, what I see, and what I hear. I try to present things in a way that most people don’t notice.

My motivation for art is giving others a chance to see through my eyes and to hear through my ears. Giving them a chance to feel what I felt. A chance to be where I was and to do what I did. My art is about capturing an emotion. Whether it’s a “wow” moment, seeing the beauty of nature, or being full of joy while playing a song, my objective is to freeze time in order to relive that emotion and share it.
